Verifone June-July 2024 Release

Here is an overview of ecommerce, checkout, API and Verifone Central items released in June-July 2024 in Demo and Production environments.

New Features

Verifone Central

  • Introduced a clear distinction between the Orders and Transactions report screens in Verifone Central. Users can now seamlessly switch between these views to either focus on high-level order summaries or detailed transaction lists. For more information, refer to the Orders/Transactions Reports documentation Offsite Link
  • Merchants using the Blocking Rulesets service in Verifone Central can now customize inherited rulesets. This new functionality allows merchants to create a copy of existing rulesets, providing them with the flexibility to define and edit their own rules. For more details, see the Blocking rulesets Offsite Link documentation.

  • Added Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to enhance the security of merchants' data. Learn how to request and activate MFA by visiting the guide here Offsite Link

Enhancements

Verifone Central

  • The permissions for Merchant Admin and Merchant Supervisor roles have been updated to restrict adding, editing, and deleting Points of Interaction (POIs). Users in these roles now have read-only access, allowing them to view POIs without making changes. Learn more in the Users and Merchant Roles Offsite Link documentation.

  • We've improved the filter and search criteria functionalities when exporting transactions via custom CSV reports in Verifone Central. For more details, refer to the Exporting Reports Offsite Link documentation.

  • A clearer delete confirmation message has been added when removing checkout themes from the Checkout Themes Editor. The new pop-up window provides clear instructions when pressing the Delete button.

  • The scrollbar behavior on the Transaction Search Page has been improved for smoother navigation.

  • The Blocking Rulesets response description for blocked transactions has been updated. Merchants can now see which blocking rules were applied to rejected transactions, helping them understand the reasons behind the block. Learn more about this in the Reporting Details Offsite Link documentation.

  • Our updated password expiration policy in Verifone Central ensures users receive regular alerts for upcoming expiration deadlines, prompting timely password updates. See more in the Password Expiration Policy section within the Getting Started Offsite Link article.

eCommerce

  • The checkout flow for failed payments has been enhanced, particularly for situations where users reach the maximum number of submission attempts.

Bug Fixes

Verifone Central

  • A defect causing filters applied on the Transactions Page to not display correctly on Android, iOS devices, and web browsers has been fixed.
