Pay By Link User Guide

This article explains how to set up Verifone Pay By Link and manage Pay By Link transactions in Verifone Central.

What is Pay By Link?

Verifone Pay By Link lets you send customers a unique checkout URL so they can pay online. It’s ideal for phone, email, or social-media orders.

IMPORTANT: To use Pay By Link, you need a Verifone Central account with a Pay By Link facility.

Get Started

Set up your secure card-capture key

Before you create any payment links, you must generate a secure card-capture key:

  1.  Login to Verifone Central Offsite Link

  2. Go to Administration > Account Set Up > Organisation Company and Sites

  3. Select your Parent Organisation (name begins with “Account”)

  4. Scroll to Secure Card Capture and click Create new public key

NOTE: You must be a merchant admin to generate public keys.

Create a payment link

IMPORTANT: Some features shown in Verifone Cloud may not be available in New Zealand.

 
Payment Link Reporting & Refunds

Check the status of your payment links and process refunds from your Payment Links list.

  1. Go to Commerce > Payment Tools > Pay by Link to see all of your payment links
  2. Click a transaction to view details and process refunds via the Actions tab 

NOTE: Refunds are only available for settled transactions. You can issue full or partial refunds.
