Android Software Release May 2025: Full Release Notes

New Features:

  • Differential Surcharging adjusts the surcharge rate applied to a Purchase transaction based on the type of card and payment method

Enhancements:

  • Updated interface and layout with new branding, improved button layout, and optimised screen space for better accessibility
  • Shift totals from the last 14 days can now be accessed and printed from the Shift Totals report
  • Merchant ID and Terminal ID have been added to the Shift Totals print report 
  • Delayed install option is now available for some terminals, postponing a software update up to three times
  • New "Check for Updates" button in the Connect Express menu allows users to check for software and parameter updates
  • New tipping configuration options available in Device Manager, including the ability to set preset tip percentages
  • Persistent logging is now automatically enabled to assist with technical troubleshooting
  • Terminals with physical buttons (P630, M424, M440) now support account selection via the number pad
  • POSLink, PCEFTPOS, VX-Link, Vcloud, and Vault integrations now generate a consistent invoice reference (replacing random alphanumeric strings)
  • Plugging headphones into the terminal automatically activates Accessibility mode
  • Retrieve up to 90 days or 1,000 transactions from Transaction History at the terminal or merchant level
  • Transaction Outcome is now included in Transaction History reports

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where Wi-Fi settings were not retained after a reboot

  • Resolved an issue where logons succeeded but software and parameter updates failed on T650p full feature base

  • Corrected entry mode display for some matched refunds and delayed charges in Transaction History

  • Fixed a screen timeout issue during User Role Authentication on the ‘Select Merchant’ screen

  • Resolved an issue where “Last Transaction Info” receipts displayed incomplete data

  • Fixed a crash caused when changing or resetting passwords via PC EFTPOS
