How to process a purchase with cash-out

If your customer would like to get some cash out along with their EFTPOS purchase, you can process a 'Purchase & Cash Out' transaction. The cash amount will show separately on the EFTPOS receipt.

Navigation

 

Android terminals

  1. Enter the Purchase amount.
  2. Tap 'Other'
  3. Tap 'Purchase + Cash Out'
  4. Select the cash out amount from the list or tap 'Other' to enter a custom amount
  5. Total transaction amount is displayed on screen. Your customer presents their card and enters their PIN.
  6.  The graphic on-screen shows customers how to present their card
  7. Your terminal processes the transaction and then displays 'Approved' or 'Declined'
  8. If a card is inserted, the terminal prompts to remove the card from the chip card slot
  9. Customer selects preferred receipt option
  10. Purchase + cash out summary screen is displayed. Tap 'DONE' to continue back to the Payment screen
  11. Present approved cash out amount to the customer

NOTE: Contactless tap is not available for Payment + Cash Out transactions.

Verifone network

  1. Select Menu
  2. Select Purchase/Cash
  3. Type in the purchase amount and press the green Enter key
  4. Type in the cash-out amount and press Enter
  5. Customer presents card, selects account, and enters their PIN
  6. A merchant receipt will print after the transaction is processed
  7. The terminal will offer the option of also printing a customer receipt

Worldline network

  1. Select Purchase/Cash
  2. Type in the purchase amount and press the green Enter key
  3. Type in the cash-out amount and press Enter
  4. Customer presents card, selects account, and enters their PIN
  5. A merchant receipt will print after the transaction is processed
  6. The terminal will offer the option of also printing a customer receipt

  1. Select # to enter menu
  2. Select Purchase/Cash
  3. Enter purchase amount
  4. Enter Cash amount 
  5. Customer presents card, selects account, and enters their PIN
  6. A merchant receipt will print after the transaction is processed
  7. The terminal will offer the option of also printing a customer receipt
