WARNING Do Not Return Existing Equipment Or Cancel With Your Current Provider!
Avoiding Cancellation Fees
When you receive your new EFTPOS terminal, do not return your existing equipment to your current provider or send them notice of cancellation. Doing so may result in your current provider invoicing you for the full value of your remaining contract with them, and charging you a cancellation fee.
Confirm the notice period for your contract with your current provider and keep your current equipment safe until you can provide notice to your current provider within the notice period. Return the equipment only when advised.
Free Terminal Rental Period:
Your Eftpos NZ sales representative may have offered you a period of free EFTPOS terminal rental to facilitate the transition. The free rental period on your Eftpos NZ contract ensures you can start using our equipment immediately, but you won't be paying both your current provider and Eftpos NZ simultaneously.
TIP Set yourself a reminder to send written notice to your current EFTPOS provider to avoid automatic contract renewal.
