      MOTO Surcharge Override

      MOTO Surcharge Override is an optional add-on for businesses that apply a surcharge and also process MOTO/Manual transactions.

      Call 0800 EFTPOS (0800 338 767, option 3 to enable MOTO Surcharge Override on your EFTPOS terminal

      If enabled, your terminal will prompt you to choose whether to apply a surcharge to your Manual/MOTO transactions or not. This is helpful for businesses that accept bookings from third-party websites.

      To process a MOTO/Manual Transaction with the override enabled:

      1. Enter the transaction amount
      2. Select 'Other'
      3. Select 'Manual Card Entry'
      4. Select 'No' or 'Yes' on the Alert pop-up 
      5. Process the MOTO/Manual transaction as per usual

      NOTE: The prompt will not display if you select Manual Card Entry in the Hamburger menu on the Present Card screen.
