How to refund a MOTO/Manual transaction

How to process a refund when the card is not present

IMPORTANT: Manual card entry (MOTO) and refunds are bank-approved features that are only enabled on your terminal following approval and direct instruction to Eftpos NZ from your bank. For all queries regarding MOTO functionality, please contact the bank that provides your merchant facility. To process a refund, you’ll need to enter your manager or merchant password. If you don’t know your password, call our Technical Helpdesk on 0800 338 767. You’ll need to be a listed director or owner to set up or make changes to the merchant password. If your terminal is connected to the Worldline Network, you’ll need a refund card and PIN provided by Worldline NZ.
