Process A Quick Refund On The Carbon Mobile 5

You can start a refund by typing the amount into the payment screen or you can match the refund to the original transaction from your Transaction History.

To process a ‘quick refund’:

  1. Enter the refund amount into the keypad on the Payment screen
  2. Tap Other
  3. Tap Refund
  4. Enter a passcode. Find out how to set up your passcodes here.
  5. Refund amount is displayed on-screen. Tap Card or Mobile (learn how to process a MOTO, card-not-present refunds here)
  6. Customer presents their card or mobile device and enters their PIN (if required)
  7. Your terminal processes the refund and then displays Approved or Declined. Terminal may prompt for signature.
  8. If a card is inserted, the terminal prompts to remove the card from the chip card slot
  9. Customer selects EMAIL to enter their email address and receive a receipt via email, or NO THANKS to continue back to the payment screen
