If your terminal displays a Check Pinpad error when trying a transaction try the following steps:
Restart your terminal
- Turn the VX 520C upside down
- Remove the VX 820 pinpad cable
- Rotate and unplug the power cord
- Wait a few seconds
- Reconnect the power cable
- Reconnect the pinpad cable
- Wait until the VX 520C returns to the main screen and the VX 820 pinpad displays the Verifone idle screen
- Select Menu and scroll down until you see Logon
- Select Logon
- If this says Approved, you are good to go.
